Terms of Service
Last updated: 26 June 2026
1. Agreement
By accessing or using Envelope ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "You" means the individual or entity accessing the Service. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account.
2. Service description
Envelope provides a visual design tool for AI agent teams. We provide a workspace for designing, configuring, and exporting AI team specifications ("team specs"); MCP and API access for running teams; credentials management; collaboration tooling; and related developer services.
3. Accounts
You must create an account to use most Service features. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and API keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use at [email protected].
You may not share API keys across organisations or create accounts for the purpose of circumventing plan limits.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Send spam or unsolicited communications via agents
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract our proprietary systems
- Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent
- Use the Service in a way that harms other users or third parties
5. Shared designs
Users who share team designs with others (including making them publicly accessible) agree that their designs will not:
- Contain malicious configurations, backdoors, or undisclosed data collection
- Be designed to deceive, manipulate, or defraud users or their end users
- Facilitate illegal activity or violate third-party terms of service
- Include content that is hateful, obscene, or harmful to minors
We reserve the right to remove any design that violates these standards without notice and to suspend the responsible account.
6. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly. The 14-day free trial requires a valid payment method; you will not be charged until the trial period ends. You may cancel at any time from your billing settings — access continues until the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 30 days of the charge and we will investigate.
7. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the team designs, agent configurations, and content you create using the Service. The Envelope name, logo, and platform code are our intellectual property. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
8. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party tools and platforms (Slack, Linear, GitHub, and others). Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms. We are not responsible for their availability, content, or actions.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Envelope and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) any team design you share or make publicly accessible, including any harm caused to others; or (c) your breach of these Terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Envelope shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or £100.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: (a) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (b) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; or (c) any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. On deletion, your right to use the Service ends immediately and your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend your account immediately for violations of these Terms or conduct that poses a risk to us or other users. For inactivity (no sign-in for more than 12 months), we will send a notice to your registered email address at least 30 days before any account closure — if you sign in during that window, the closure will not proceed.
13. Force majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from events outside their reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, government action, internet outages, or third-party service failures. If such an event persists for more than 30 days, either party may terminate affected service obligations on written notice.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or via an in-product notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiation. Where formal resolution is required, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts competent for the parties involved, unless a mandatory local law requires otherwise.
